Op Art 2

*No picture posted online of this project*
This project was really cool. I liked this a lot and it looked awesome when I finished! The color scheme I chose was pink and purple. Each time I hit a line, I'd switch colors and it turned out really nice. I enjoyed it a lot. The only thing I didnt like was that my pink marker ran out pretty much right after I started my project so I had to color all of my purple first and then go get a new marker and it looked really dumb without another color, but once I got the pink marker and finished it looked amazing and even better than I expected. If I ever did this project again, I'd make sure that my markers work and will last throughout the whole project! But overall I liked this project a lot and I liked the outcome of my piece of art.

Pop Art Sculpture

For this project we were allowed one partner and my partner was Taylor Smith. I had to think hard about what we were going to do for this project until it hit me to do a Nike Swoosh and I knew that was the perfect idea. I was very pleased with our project and It was one of my favorites to create. We used cardboard, a lot of tape that would not stay, black paint to cover the cardboard, and sparkles to top it all off. The outcome of our project was phenominal to me. I loved it, it was everything I thought it would be and with our artistic abilities together we did it. The only thing I would go back and redo about this project would be to make it bigger! The size was medium but if I did it again I'd want it big!!

Op Art 1

This project was interesting and I had to use a lot of creativity to draw this. I got stumped a few times because I didn't really know what patterns to draw or what to shade. I had some fun with this project just doing my own thing and I really liked how it was all black and white, it makes it look really cool. If I were to do this over again, the only thing i would change is the circles all around, I wouldn't put circles, I'd do a different design that would start inside the circle and come out. But I really liked drawing this project it was a lot of fun and let me go out on a limb with my creativity.

Magazine Reflection

This project was pretty fun to draw. I liked how half of the picture is actually from the magazine and the other half is my own drawing. The only difficult part of this project were the words at the bottom and on the little jar. It was hard to match up the same font, but I think I managed to do so. If I were to go back and redo this project, I would cut out more pieces that were smaller than the ones I cut out that way it'd be a little easier and more of a variety to draw. All in all, this was a fun project and I'd love to do it again.

Water Color

When we were first introduced to this project, I was just overwelmed and didnt know how it'd be possible to get all the detail in with water colors. But I soon came to find out that it depends on the size of the brush used. I started painting the middle flower and it was terrible. I smeared colors all over and was stressed. So I restarted and took my time, giving it a lot of detail and the middle flower turned out to be my favorite. The first flower was my second favorite. I tried doing some shading on the petals to make it obvious that it was a flower, and I think I did a pretty decent job of that. The last one was a mess. It looked really great until I did the background and it made the petals look dead. But, all in all I really enjoyed this project even though my last one was a little messed up, my other ones make up for it! If I were to go back and redo this project, I would pick lighter colors for all of the backgrounds and not a dark one like I did in the last picture. And I would also be a little more patient and let the paint dry before trying to paint over it and making it look like a mess.

Character Skeleton

This was by far my favorite project all year! I loved drawing this character. It was a little difficult to draw and shade the skeleton part of this project, but I liked being challenged. The hardest part of this project was doing Simba's eyes, it was so hard to get them just the right size and width apart. But with a little guidence from Mr. Puffpaff I was able to get them pretty close to perfect! If I could change one thing about this project, I'd probably go back and do more shading on the skeleton part to make it look more like real-life. But overall, this was by far my favorite project this whole year!

Text Collage

This project was pretty fun but it was really time consuming. It took for ever to cut out all of the little black and white words that took the longest. The pink words were pretty easy to find as long as I looked in girly magazines I had no problem! The only thing I would do differently about this project would not be to cut out little words because I started doing that in the beginning, and eventually I started just looking for big words and that helped a lot. So if I were to do this again, I'd start looking for big words right from the beginning. I think my design in this project was good and I really like the store Pink so thats why I chose to do this word, and I am pretty happy with the outcome of this!

Animation Cell

This project was really fun and exciting to draw. I was proud of myself after I drew this because I used to not be really good at drawing people, but I feel like this really shows my progress throughout this year in art. I feel really successful about this piece. The only thing I would change about this drawing would be to have a lighter color in the back ground and to not have so many colors in the back ground because it kind of takes the attention away from  the guy I drew which is not what I really want. But other than that, I wouldn't change a thing! My guy was by far my favorite I've ever drawn and I am really proud of this project.

Contrast and Composition

I thought this piece was really fun to paint and it was really using creativity. I was really upset that my third drawing went missing, but at least the two I still have are pretty successful. I think they are successful because there are a lot of letters all combined together and it really catches peoples' attention when trying to figure out which letters are which. When doing this project the thing that worked was picking parts of letters and combining them with other parts of other letters. What didnt really work was trying to put whole letters everywhere in the picture. If I was to do this over again, I would probably just be more careful and make sure all of my lines are crisp and straight. The most difficult part of this piece was the painting once again. This took a lot of patience and I had to be careful when drawing my lines and curves. I learned that by just picking certain pieces of different letters, you can make a picture interesting and attractive.

Positive and Negative Spaces

This piece was fun but I had to have a lot of patience when paiting so that I wouldn't mess up the white and the black on accident. I think this piece was pretty successful because its pretty easy to figure out which letters are which and that was what I wanted. If I was to do this project over again, I probably would have picked more difficult letters and probably zoom in on the letters more. The most difficult part of this piece was the painting, it was hard to find just the right paint brush and have the right amount of paint to fill the area neatly. From this piece, I learned that painting is not the easiest thing in the world and it takes a lot of time and patience.

Art Careers: Photography

I chose this career because I think that photography is a really unique and it would be fun. When picking a career, you have to find something you'd enjoy since you will be doing it every day. For me, photography is something that could intrest me from day to day and not get boring. On average, the salary for photographers is $26,080 per year. The duty of a photographer is to use their artistic abilties and technical skill to use a camera, lenses, and lights to take interest pictures that get peoples' attention.
To be a photographer, one must go to school for 2-4 years depending on the college and the schooling needed training how to use the cameras and taking pictures. The people a photographer works with depends on where they work; if they work for the newpaper, then they would be working with the editors of newspapers. If they work for weddings, birthdays, anniversarys and etc. then they would be working with a variety of many different people. As you can see there are many people that photographers work with so to be a photographer one must be social and like to be with people.
After this research, I would definitely consider this career for myself because it would be enjoyable and fun, and it would be something I believe i would really be interested in. It would keep my interest for a very long time. I will consider it when I choose my career.

The Great Doodle Assignment

This drawing was really fun and I was able to use my creativity while drawing this. I feel very successful about this piece, I think it's one of my best pieces I've drawn all year. In the beginning of art I wouldn't have been able to do anything close to this. I really like how its all black and white it looks much better than it would've in color. The hardest thing about this project was thinking of so many different designs to fill up the whole paper, but once I got on a roll it started to get easier for me. I learned that when you shade with a sharpie you can't just color with the marker you have to make x's and shade it that way.

One Point Perspective Name Drawing

This drawing was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed doing it. I feel pretty successful about this project. I had a hard time doing some of the letters, but with a little bit of help I was able to get the hang of it and understand it more than before. If I were to do this project over again, I would make my name bigger so it would fill up the whole page instead of being a medium size. I learned that all letters are different from eachother and have different lines and curves and some are more difficult than others.

One Point Perspective Hallway Drawing

This drawing was pretty simple and fun because I got to choose a hallway that I could design and it was all my ideas. This piece was pretty successful I think, I really took my time and used my creative side more than usual. The most difficult part about completing this piece was getting all the details in as the drawing was looking further away and smaller. From this piece I learned that every line that is not parallel must go back to the vanishing point or else it will not look right.

Two Point Perspective Building Drawing

When I first had to pick out a building to draw, I thought this would be the hardest project of the whole year, but once I started going and making all the lines go back to vanishing point it was pretty easy. I feel pretty good about this piece actually. I took my time and carefully shaded all the windows and put some brick patches around the building to make people get the impression that its a brick building. The thing that didn't work about this project is having the vanishing point on the ends of the paper, instead I taped two extra pieces of paper to put the vanishing point on and it worked easier that way. I learned from this project that sometimes the vanishing point has to be further away in order to make a bigger picture.

Color Wheel

The color wheel project was very different compared to the other projects I did. It was the first project we used paint with and it was pretty interesting. I didn't feel too successful with this project because some of my colors didn't turn out how they were "supposed to". But i followed directions and tried my best and thats all that counts. If I were to redo this project, i would probably take more time on the green part because I think i rushed it a little more than the other colors and it turned out the worst. I learned that there are a lot of shades of different colors and to get lighter you add white but not too much white. This was an overall really cool experience and I can't wait to use more paint,
